3. the Franklin Show: A Legendary Crystal Experience
I’m loving being in North Carolina. It’s like Vermont, but with gentler hills, fewer conifers, and it’s oh so green! I’m vending at another Rock Club show – in a town hosting 3 per year – as well as the popular GLW wholesale show (I participate in their MA events). Yesterday was Day 1 and these customers know what they’re looking for! This weekend should be epic. I’ve always wanted to do a show here, doing some great networking, living the dream!
4. Perspective (some thoughts on life and the world)
I’m in weekend 3 of 4 shows in a row – eating well but simply – and keeping up with my daily stretch routine. Self care is essential for the long hours standing and the lifting of thousands of pounds. Topsfield was outstanding; Franklin is promising, with 2 full weekend days ahead. And then – after tomorrow’s show is done – I pack up and drive 2 hours to shorten my journey to NJ all day Monday. Tuesday is setup. And the show opens Wednesday thru Sunday: noon till 8 the first 3 days; and then the more usual 10-6 for the weekend.
Thoughts on the world? It’s a scary place – mostly due to ignorance, indifference – and hypocrisy of the worst order. Stick to your knitting, know the signs, and find your own ways to fight back against the culture’s inevitable slide towards hatred and chaos.
