Pyrite Suns (aka Pyrite Dollars or Sun Dollars) were formed naturally between anearobic layers of shale in the Carboniferous Era 300 million years ago. Due to space constraints, the Pyrite formed this way, rather than in its traditional cubic form. They hail most famousy from Sparta, Illinois.
