3. Crystals for Grounding Within: part of our Meditations
Mostly, Grounding is a tool or action/process designed for us to connect to and draw energy of solace from things OUTSIDE of ourselves. And they are: CARNELIAN (for connection to our internal organ functions); TOPAZ (for connection thru our Nervous System throughout the body); PYRITE (for holding our space, controlling our domain); and CITRINE (for connecting to our own True Self). 3. The Gem Show in Augusta: Who Knew? It’s a tradition.

I was turned on to this show by a fellow vendor – it’s been going for 35 years – hosted by the Kennebec Rockhounders Club, an incredibly helpful and dedicated team of Mainers who make this a seamlessly perfect regional event (necessarily fun for the whole family). I snapped this video moments before it opened, and it happens every Labor Day weekend.

1. Grounding to Something Bigger: getting plugged in
This is the sort of thing we contemplate during our Meditations. The next one online is THIS Sunday. Grounding can happen in at least 2 ways. In this video, we discuss 5 stones that are good for grounding – or connecting – with energies larger than ourselves. They are: * RUBY – in this case RED JASPER acting as a stand-in for Ruby – Ruby is for connecting to the rocky planet; * METEORITE for connecting from the atmosphere thru you to the core of the planet; * EMERALD for connecting to Higher Love; * NEPHRITE JADE for connecting to Mother Earth energies; and * MOLDAVITE for connecting to Extraterrestrial Messaging. 3. Old Collection Museum Piece: Dragon Ghost Calcite
We’re big fans of Dragon Calcite, from Sweetwater, Missouri. This is a similar variety – ashen white – from the same place. In this case, it’s a museum piece/stunning cluster on a bed of copper colored Chalcopyrite. I got it from a fellow dealer – stood out head and shoulders over all his other material – to me. And then a young woman fell in love with it – cleared space on her credit card – and cleared the purchase with her partner to make it all happen within 48 hours. 1. Molecular Structure of Gold: it’s a familiar archetypal form
We humans love to ascribe metaphysical qualities to objects around us. It’s pretty compelling when the molecular structure of an element as important to us as Gold ends up looking just like some of our most powerful spiritual graphic symbols. In this case, Gold appears to represent as the superimposed 3-sided pyramids called a Merkaba AS WELL AS Metatron’s Cube. Look them up, they’re pretty interesting! Anyhow, this was a great meeting of the minds, as Georgia here knew – when she made this discovery – that I would be excited to learn of it as well. Thank heaven for like-minded souls!

3. Another GemShow setup: recurrent display concept
A bit of a breakthrough in setup at this weekend’s Gem Miner’s Jubilee (in Lebanon, PA). While I’ve followed this somewhat in the past – it was eye opening to get more conscious of it – basically that I create a “pseudo-gender-based” spectrum in my display, which leads from funkier more fossil, skull and specimen orientation (with “men” in mind) towards prettier things: polished animals, jewelry, etc. (which are oriented more towards women). Last time, I just threw everything onto the tables, and THEN reorganized them. This time, I was able to streamline my process by placing flats and trays more directly into their “sides” of the display (which works really well visually, too).

3. Hematoid Quartz: exceptionally large iron encrusted cluster
I was mighty tempted by this large and fairly perfect iron encrusted Quartz cluster from Morocco – but it was 8 grand – and 150 pounds…so I resisted…but was so grateful they let me film it for you to enjoy! 1. Crystal Meditation Layout: Body Healing / Individual Goals
From our most recent in-person Crystal Meditation. Our central “constellation” (grid, or layout) was mostly about Body Healing crystals – from a great big Milky Candle Quartz in the middle to Ruby, Carnelian, Hydrous Smoky, Tangerine Quartz, Rhodochrosite, and Orange Calcite (all explained during the Meditation). Individually, folks worked on various themes, with specific stones: Focus with Red Laser; Decisiveness with Herkimer Diamond; Grounding with Ruby; Internal Clearing with Jet; Healing Fire with Petrified Wood. 3. Dragon Stone: dramatic tiger statue
The dramatic, but under-known blue stone Australian Dragon Stone (a form of Fuschite) – has here been sculpted (in China) beautifully, into a life-like Tiger I sold after some time of having it my shop window – to a Martial Artist whose practice had “tiger” in the name. If you pause the video, you can read the written description of it, which provides more detail about location, etc.

1. Custom Jade bracelets: gifting grandchildren together
I was at a family reunion when I noticed my mother-in-law was wearing a beautiful Nephrite Jade bracelet every day, which was part of a set – we bought a bunch of them, and had little Jade heart amulets attached to them – quite wonderful, as gifts for all the grandchildren. 3. The Fluorite Rainbow: astonishing variety of colors
At the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, I discovered this lovely selection of Fluorites in pretty much all the colors (and sizes and varieties) – which was fun for me – because I’m a big fan of Fluorite. I happen to have a large selection of Fluorites For Sale – email Kyle@CrystalConcentrics.com – with interest. 1. Treasures from Tucson: outrageous specimens I want!
Found this master carver, and 2 of his outstanding pieces in Tucson (GLW). First was a giant, roughly polished Argentine Rhodochrosite that had grown on a stalagmite (the one that comes up from the floor). It’s worth 25 grand, at least. Competitively valuable, is the rare Japanese Rhodochrosite, also featured. We specialize in Rhodochrosite, even though we’re not carrying these 2 wonders. Would would – of course – if we thought our customers would throw down that type of cash. Email Kyle@CrystalConcentrics.com, with interest.
