Description
Very dark, but you see some magic in a few of these photos, AND it’s drilled and ready to be made into a substantial pendant! Please notice that about half our photos of each piece are wet, and half are dry, to show you what they look like in both circumstances (not just one, as others often do). We sell our larger pieces un-oiled as a rule (and tell you if ever it’s otherwise), but you may wish to oil, to see the color more consistently (ie. so it’s shinier even when it’s not wet). Just know that for resale, buyers often like the piece unadulterated. In our Crystal Concentrics paradigm, Sugilite is the ultimate Manifestation Stone, acting by “celestial osmosis” to bring into being what you hope and seek for. Sugilite comes from South Africa, was mined out in the 70’s and 80’s, and most of what’s available on the market today is disappointingly impure and low grade. Also, most vendors portray it with poor color reproduction and only in the most complementary lighting. You can see water on Kyle’s hand on the pieces shown wet. We like to show you what they look like dry too (as possible), ’cause that’s the truest test of the stone’s quality. The color is more vibrant when seen wet (or if polished). Sugilite is one of our favorite types of stones, and we’re hoping to set a new standard in grading and presentation quality for this extraordinary stone variety. Feel free to contact us with interest, as much of our merchandise is off line. We can post more pieces depending on your interest. Our prices on this material are not so flexible, because we’ve put a lot of energy into seeking, grading and marking these appropriately, relative to one another. The more a piece is, the more rare and deserving it is of having that price tag applied to it. Once you familiarize yourself with our inventory, you’ll understand how we’ve arrived at each unique price. Also know that the prices go up with time, so you’ll want to avail yourself of our current pricing. Feel free to contact us with any questions. Oh, and in closing, you’ll notice that we also prefer natural pieces, uncut or polished (unless in or for jewelry) – with harmoniously pleasing shapes and uniformity of color – whenever possible.
