We purchased this item originally as a strand of outstanding chromatic (non-gel) Sugilite beads - in Tucson - from a trusted vendor who'd repo'ed them from a German store who'd originally purchased them way back in the 1980's. It has 51 color-and-pattern matched, drilled spheres. They are graduated, from the thickest (8.49mm) to the middle (8.31mm) to the ends (7.98mm). We then had it custom built into the adjustable necklace you see now, with small Sterling beads in-between. It's adjustable, from about 21-26" inches. Photos are taken in the best light - sunlight - with some indoors in white and low light. In the Crystal Concentrics paradigm, Sugilite is the ultimate Manifestation Stone, acting by celestial osmosis to bring into being what you hope and seek for. In other words, it's the blueprint for transforming your dreams into practical realities. You still have to do the work, but it's somewhat of the roadmap. Sugilite comes from South Africa, was mined out in the 70's and 80's, and most of what's available on the market today is disappointingly impure and low grade. Also, most vendors portray it with poor color reproduction and wet, so it looks like it might if it were cut and polished. The color is more vibrant when seen wet (or if polished). Sugilite is one of our favorite types of stones, and we're hoping to set a new standard in grading and presentation quality for this extraordinary variety. Feel free to contact us with interest, as much of our merchandise is off line. We can post more pieces depending on your interest. Our prices on this material are not so flexible, because we've put a lot of energy into seeking, grading and marking these appropriately, relative to one another. The more a piece is, the more rare and deserving it is of having that price tag applied to it. Once you familiarize yourself with our inventory, you'll understand how we've arrived at each unique price. Feel free to contact us with any questions. Oh, and in closing, you'll notice that we also prefer natural pieces, uncut or polished (unless in or for jewelry), with harmoniously pleasing shapes and uniformity of color wherever possible.
